The Alishan Tea Area is nestled among the mountains in Chiayi County, Taiwan. Here, mist surrounds the area year-round, with large temperature differences between day and night. The altitude ranges from 1000 meters to 1700 meters, creating a unique natural environment that is ideal for producing oolong tea. Abundant sunlight and afternoon mist alternately nourish the tea trees, promoting sufficient photosynthesis while moisturizing the trees. This results in slow growth, allowing the tea leaves to accumulate richer aromas and nutrients.
Alishan tea is known for its distinct mountain aroma. The tea liquor has a bright golden color, with a smooth, round, and sweet taste that offers rich layers and great re-brewability. Due to the cool climate at high altitudes, the tea leaves grow slowly over time, becoming thicker and fuller.
