Sourced from the Shizhao tea region in Zhuqi Township, Chiayi County, this high-mountain tea garden sits at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters. The Shizhao area takes its name from a legendary stone imprinted with a giant footprint, believed to be left by an immortal. Nestled along the Alishan Highway, the tea gardens are enveloped by rolling clouds and mist, with a veil of fog often descending in the afternoons.
The soil here, part of the Nanzhuang formation, is rich in minerals. The saddle-shaped terrain and crisp mountain air imbue the tea with the bountiful essence of nature. These unique conditions produce tea leaves that are exceptionally robust and aromatic. As a hallmark of Alishan Oolong, this tea is distinguished by its rich mineral undertones, creating a liquor that is sweet, full-bodied, and complex, with a lingering finish. It is also remarkably resilient to multiple brews, making it a true delight for tea enthusiasts.
